synopsis

UGANDA HAS recently made global headlines for the persecution of its gay or kuchu community. This extraordinary film documents the brave fight-back against this persecution. When the de facto leader of the gay-rights movement and first openly gay man in his country, David Kato, is brutally murdered, a rallying cry goes up around the world. More than ever Uganda’s gays are emboldened to stand their ground and declare: “We are here.”
